Conceptual Illustration Project

This project focuses on character design for a short story inspired by a song, which I interpreted freely to build the narrative and visual world.

The story follows a chameleon wandering through a forest filled with magical mushrooms. Unlike a typical chameleon that adapts by copying colors or textures, this one absorbs emotions. Each time it jumps onto a mushroom, it takes on the feeling it represents: sadness, joy, and other emotional states that shape both its appearance and personality throughout the journey.

Toward the end, the chameleon jumps onto what it believes is a pink mushroom, only to discover it’s actually a sushi man disguised as part of the forest, camouflaging himself to catch prey for his dishes.

The project explores emotion-driven transformation, playful storytelling, and character expression. The characters and illustrations were designed using Adobe Illustrator and Procreate.
